Welcome to Iceland Dreams

Velkominn Ísland Draumur

This is a humble site about my dream to visit Iceland. But in some ways I’m already there. Or maybe I was there in a past life if such things happen. Do memories transcend generations? In a sense they might as the tiny influences of evolution mutation add to the genes and blood.storm tracking2 250 About

A perfect storm zen for me is experiencing the random and not so random forces of nature combining into a moment or more of pure energy and beauty. I have little doubt that awe inspiring vistas can be easily found in Iceland. It is the forces of nature combined with those vistas that I dream of. They say the weather can and does change all the time (wait 5 minutes and yada yada)..

Extreme weather? I live for crazy weather. I won’t complain if mommy nature gives me the so called bad weather. Weather happens… sunny and calm or blowing a nor’easter , it’s all good weather to me.

What’s the first complaint from people about storms? It always involves driving the car. Me, it is my favourite time to drive. I already tend to drive on the smaller back country roads and if the weather is even thinking of being less than ideal I always choose the road less traveled. as they say.snow shack11 About

The fabled roads from hell in Iceland don’t scare me. Just give me something better than an all season tire front wheel driven car and I’m happy with any road conditions; if those conditions don’t involve hordes of dumbfounded drivers that aren’t enjoying it as much as I am.
I’m starting to have actual dreams about being there. So I created this blog with the hopes that I’ll get it out of my system and go back to a drab life and stop dreaming. or not…

I really do want to go there. My first trip may be a get well tour of the healing properties that abound in a place so distinctive and alive. The ground, the sky, the water, the very earth is alive and active.

I have two lovely daughters, Melisa and Katya. They are real troopers and might also appreciate the Fire and Ice of Iceland.
