I haven’t been posting for a while and I’m getting a little tired of this funk. I’ve run many post ideas through my head over the last few months but never the energy to write them down. Well here’s a pointless post to get me back in the game. Perhaps the trivial and less than profound is what I need to start writing again.
For no apparent reason other than I just open my eyes I’ll wake up rather early in the mornings. Doesn’t matter how late I went to bed or how awful my sleep was, I just get up. I do enjoy a quiet still morning. The drone of cars and other human noises in the distance hasn’t started yet. It is just me and the (newly arrived for Spring) birds although I’m not after the worms, I’ll leave that to the early birds.
To keep this post plain and typical I’ll say that my cat followed me to the lakefront. But this isn’t about my cat. The sunrise was a lovely red, the crescent moon and Venus were rather lovely. So much so that I went back to the house to get the camera. By that time the light was gathering and the sounds of human were beginging.

Your picture was beautiful and refreshing. I too treasure that little window of time when the world hasn’t yet awoken – the freeway (we like to refer to it as the river) hasn’t started it’s rushing noise of cars commuting, and I can hear my Love’s gentle breathing next to me in the dark. I’ve never seen Lake Ontario before. Very cool.
Terry’s last blog post..
Hi Terry! Lake Ontario can be nice depending where you are. More like an ocean many days. The quiet mornings are my only time for peace so I don’t pass them up very often.
I hope to get back to Iceland for the solstice. If I can’t do that then I’m taking the train due north as far as it goes and experience the midnight sun there.
