The Yule Lads are coming.

The Jólasveinarnir (Yule Lads) start arriving in town on the morning of December 12th. Remember to place a shoe on your virtual windowsill before that, as they will leave a small cyber-gift for children who have been good, a small toy or fruit, for example, and those children who have been naughty will receive something they will not like very much.  Each day I’ll present the next Yule Lad associated with that day.

    hehe, post reordering.
    After seeing the lava fields, geo fields, mountains, slopes, and tiny tree stands I can almost see the little buggers. I can understand why these myths came to be.

    has anyone heard of the islandic spirit that comes on christmas eve at 5pm and stays till dec31 5pm – it is said that no clothes on the line or no clothes or coats on back of the chairs and all chairs must be tipped over that is outside or in the basement that are no being used and no clothes or towels on the bathroom curtain rods cause if he sits on one of these things – you will hear of a year in the following year – please if anyone has heard of this and know the name of this spirit – let me know -
