Happy Icelandic Language Day. Icelanders celebrate their unique and ancient language. Few people outside of Iceland can speak the language but it is the language of the Vikings and the sagas. Preserve your heritage.
Eygló states that the language can sound harsh to outsiders but I think it sounds fine and less harsh than many other languages that I can think of. Very difficult yes but not hard on the ears. I’ve heard Eygló speak English and it sounds wonderful. Not harsh at all, the accent is pleasant and easily understood.
