Very nice memorial post for Veteran’s Day.
Thank you very much Terry. Did you watch the video? I watch that one every year and it always brings me to tears. In Canada they call it Remembrance Day and is still a solemn occasion. Every town and village has a Cenotaph where ceremonies are held and old vets gather. When the bells ring just before 11 it is amazing how silent it gets. Cars, buses, even the subway and street cars will stop for two minutes. I hate war especially the one being fought now but I have nothing but respect for those that are sent to fight them. My children understand why 11/11 is my day for quiet reflection. I always search out an old vet to shake their hand and say thanks. The next day I’m back to hating the system that creates the wars. I don’t hate the soldier, only those that send them there.
