Cool, I had another question of mine answered over at IcelandReview. This one was about money and the cheapest way to spend it while there. I can’t simply slap a credit card down for everything and deal with the feeling of being raped when I get back home. The debit card while being the most common method for the locals will have all sorts of extra fees just because I stepped off of home plate. Those digi bits traveling across the globe arrive back home only milliseconds longer than if I used the card at home.
I did get some useful information and will be sure to arrange the meager finances to make the best of it. But if the Visa folks want to come with me and split hotel costs I’ll gladly pay their insane fees.
I just hope that when I make a purchase I don’t get asked “do you have an air miles card sir?”.
